Description
I used infrared to capture this breathtaking view at Cabrillo National Monument on Point Loma in San Diego, California. Cabrillo National Monument is a great vantage point for watching migrating gray whales en route from the Arctic Ocean to Baja California on their yearly round trip migration of 12,000 miles.

I think you have captured all of the 256 shade from black to white in this one - very nice.

Ralf, I recently returned from a holiday in San Diego. I highly recommend taking the whale watching kayak tour out of La Jolla. I got within two car-lengths of a 50 ft grey whale. Thrilling! Too bad I didn't have my camera with me :-(
