Photograph - Polaroid Transfer
Description
Polaroid transfers are an alternative process photographic technique. Each Polaroid transfer is hand-made by the photographer using specific materials and equipment to achieve a desired effect. A transparency is projected on to professional Polaroid print film and as development begins, the print and chemicals are prematurely separated. The image is transferred on to dampened watercolor paper for a unique image that has a dated, artistic photo-painting appearance. Exposure, development, pressure, time, paper and other variables make each print an original mono-print.
Jane Linders is an award-winning photographer whose prints are in numerous national and international collections.

Jane, super composition made more special by your layering effects! Gave it a vote here & in the musical instrument contest too.

This so reminds me of my mother. She was a musician/singer who could play any instrument she touched. She and her entire family of 13 were talented the same way. They played country/western, hillbilly, blues and R&B. They sang on live radio but never made a recording. The radio station in Modesto began recording all live broadcasts just after they moved away. I truly miss her!

my mother is a music teacher, her major was in music theory (I think). at 80 years old, she no longer plays or teaches piano, but has developed a passion for handbells and has produced a collection of pieces that she can be proud of. This piece, with its delicate handling of the poloroid image, is stunning to say the least. I'm going to have to fav this one so that for xmas this year I can get her something nice that will replace all my art I've taken off her walls. I really like the composition with the keys over the music staff and notes. This is very stunning!
