Description
The symbol of University of Missouri is the row of 6 ionic columns located in Francis Quadrangle. The tradition is for incoming freshman class is to do the "Tiger Walk" through the columns towards Jess Hall to signify the beginning of the academic start at MIZZOU.
I used an alternative printing process called Cyanotype to make this image. Cyanotypes, also called sun prints were the first silver less printing process developed in 1852 by Sir William Herschel. Using only two chemicals and the sun, this old printing process seem appropriate for the Iconic Columns at MIZZOU. I printed this image on a page torn from a 1942 sheet metal handbook as a nod to the architectural elements of this image.

I love this gallery, too, Jane. This is another process that intrigues me, whose results I love!
Jane Linders replied:
I love experimenting with #cyanotypes and pushing the limits with this process.
