Description
Pantone's color of the year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid. This modern and captivating combination of purple , fuschia with a touch of pink exudes warmth and will surely liven up neurtrals including grey, taupe and beige.
I happened to be at the right place at the right time when I captured this image of railroad tracks just as the sun was setting and turning the sky and rails Radiant Orchid. I used HDR technology to capture the image.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) uses a digital process of combining the color and tone of multiple exposures to generate an enhanced composite image. The artist has control over the intensity of the effect, allowing for a great deal of creative license in achieving the desired results.

Very nice work. I love to take and view photographs I can get lost in. This is certainly one of those. If I had been in your shoes capturing this scene I don't know how long I would have stood there afterward and just wondered...and mused... This is simply beautiful. A sure vote in contest. Love it.
