Description
The ghost town of Rush in northern Arkansas was once a thriving mining town. Located on the lower Buffalo River and established in the 1880's, was once home to several thousand people. The farmers found zinc ore which was used during WW1 to galvanize steel to prevent it from rusting and a mining town was born. The last resident left in the 1950's and now offers views of period structures and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
