Description
The beautiful Wainwright building located in St. Louis, Missouri was the first sky scraper in the world. Commissioned in 1891 by St. Louis brewer, Ellis Wainwright, this Palazzo stye building was designed by Louis Sullivan. The Terra Cotta embellishments and Italianate architecture make the Wainwright Building a crown jewel in the St. Louis skyline.
