Directly in front of the Sachs Museum, in the heart of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, Missouri is the Nuttall Obelisk (1887). This obelisk honors the english naturalist/botanist Thomas Nuttall and is inscribed with the words, "in Honour of American Science."
