Welston Bank in the Sky neon sign metal print by Jane Linders. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
This Mid Century Modern State Bank of Welston sign located in St. Louis, MO was neon beacon on a tower for over 60 years. Erected in the 1940's, this bank sign was located on a tower that looked like the old RKO Picture Studio logo. Salvaged in 2013 by The St. Louis Building Arts Foundation when the bank was demolished, this rusty old sign now sits at National Building Arts Center in Sauget, Illinois. The entire sign read, "Bank in the Sky" as bank patrons drove up to the roof of the bank for the drive through window.
About Jane Linders
My current passion is an alternative photographic process called Polaroid transfers. Each transfer is hand-made by the photographer using specific materials and equipment to achieve a desired effect. A transparency is projected on to professional Polaroid print film and as development begins, the print and chemicals are prematurely separated. The image is transferred on to dampened watercolor paper for a unique image which has a dated, artistic photo-painting appearance. Exposure, pressure, time, paper and other variables make each print an original mono-print.
